Debrah H. Muska, award-winning pet, wildlife and wilderness photographer
Over the rolling hills of Newark Valley lies one of the best kept secrets of the Southern Tier Region of New York State. Nestled in the countryside is a studio called ANIMAL IMAGES. Debrah H. Muska, master photographer and craftswoman, has specialized in animal photography since 1985 and has received local and national recognition for her images.
Deb grew up in a rural setting surrounded by numerous animals. As an only child, she was their caretaker and they were her companions. Animals gave her a very early appreciation of their value in the circle of life.
For several years, Deb worked as a free-lance photographer concentrating on wilderness scenes and wildlife. This new frontier of photography was ideal for the harmonizing of two passions: her respect and love for animals and enthusiasm for photography.
ANIMAL IMAGES studio officially opened its doors in 1985. The studio and outdoor setting is designed to be pet-friendly. You will be greeted by the “Critter Crossing” sign on the rail fence along the driveway. A fire hydrant is conveniently located for your dog's use after a long ride. The inside of the studio is open and animal-friendly so dogs and especially cats will have difficulty finding a nook or cranny to hide in.
Debrah brings her animal instinct to each portrait session to expose your pet's unique personality and traits. She is very knowledgeable on the physical and personality traits of numerous breeds. Her backgrounds and props are designed to accent the natural beauty of every animal.
A pet's portrait is often created “once in a lifetime for a lifetime of memories.”
Debrah's credentials are vast:
